Built out of
personal frustration.
I'd tried almost every whitening product available in the UK. Some worked, most caused sensitivity. The ones that didn't hurt barely did anything. The ones that worked left me avoiding hot drinks for days.
PAP — phthalimidoperoxycaproic acid — wasn't new to cosmetic chemistry, but it hadn't been formulated well for consumer whitening yet. We set out to change that. A year of formulation work with a specialist oral care lab later, Bolder Smile existed.
The goal was simple: visible results, no peroxide, and packaging you'd actually leave on your bathroom shelf.

Why we started
Whitening was
broken.
The industry default was peroxide — a bleaching agent that works, but leaves millions of people with sensitivity, discomfort, and damaged enamel. Products told you to accept that as the price of a whiter smile.
We disagreed. PAP is a newer, gentler whitening molecule that lifts surface stains without attacking the tooth itself. We built Bolder Smile around it — and had the formula reviewed by a registered dental professional before it ever shipped.
The result: visible results in 7 days, zero peroxide, no sensitivity, and packaging that earns shelf space.

Bolder Smile was developed over 12 months with a UK-based cosmetic chemistry lab specialising in oral care. The PAP concentration, strip adhesion, and mouthwash formula were refined through multiple rounds of testing before we shipped a single kit.
The finished formula was independently reviewed by a BDS-registered UK dental professional — and every ingredient is included because it has a specific job to do.
Bolder Smile is a cosmetic product. It reduces surface staining and is not a bleaching treatment. Suitable for ages 16 and above.
